This morning (Tuesday) we spend sailing up the Rhone toward Lyon. Breakfast again with Joanne and Ned. Judy and Frank joined us. I decided I was eating too much so this morning only cereal and banana.
Up to the lounge to work on the blog but the internet is too darn slow. So I just did my cross stitch project and then they had a special drink and sausage that Lyon is famous for. And a lecture on the building of the boat and how they transported it to the Rhone river. The river boats are flat and cannot travel on the open seas. So they put it in a transport ship and sail it to the river. Sort of like a floating dry dock. All very interesting.
Lunch and while we were eating, we arrived at Lyon. Seems there was another boat docked where we were suppose to be. So we had to have them leave and then we were able to dock. But another boat pulled up next to us, so again, our view is of another persons room.
Bob and I decided to walk to the mall which is across the street from the boat. And they have free WiFi and so I am catching up with the blog.
Tonight the six of us are eating in town. Judy arranged it with the ship personal. Hope it is good. We will take a taxi and eat since the boat is staying here overnight. Tomorrow is our tour of Lyon.
I will update this and let you all know about our dinner.
