We received an email from Judy and Frank about a French Waterway river cruise to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. So we decided to join them along with Anne and Cory. Should be a hoot. We had so much fun the last time we were together.
We decided instead of flying over we will take the Celebrity Equinox from Ft. Lauderdale to Barcelona. The timing is perfect. We will arrive in Barcelona on the same day that Judy and Frank do only we will not be jet lagged. Then we will stay in Barcelona for three nights and then head to the river. Anne and Cory will not be doing the pre cruise in Barcelona. They will join us on the river boat.
And we will take the QM2 back to New York like we did a few years ago. I do not like the class system that Cunard uses but it is a neat way to get home without flying.
So we are all booked. Taking Vantage again as Judy and Frank like to stick with one line. This is okay with us. We would rather take AMA but we will go along with them. We are booked in cabin 304 on the Vantage Discovery II. Cory and Anne are in 303 which is across the hall. Not sure where Judy and Frank are. I think they have not booked yet. Will do it this week.
For the Celebrity Equinox, we are in cabin 1215. Have not taken a Celebrity cruise is a while. We are elite with them so we will see what that gives us. I am sure not free internet. Oh well. And on the QM2 we are in cabin 8035.
We will have to figure out how to get to Southampton but we have plenty of time to do it. We arrive at the end of the river cruise on May 24th and the QM2 leaves Southampton on the 27th. Will probably travel by train.
